Annet Mahendru

Mahendru's parents were Russian and Hindu Indian. She was born in Afghanistan. She speaks fluently in German Russian and English and also speaks French Persian and Hindi. Annet Mahendru has a Russian-Indian father. When she was 11 she choreographed and performed a dance which earned her an appearance on German television appearance. The dance included a snow maiden from Russia who was transformed into an exciting Indian dancer. She completed high-school within New York before earning a Bachelor of Arts (English) at St. John's University. Following high school, she attended acting classes at HB but left for improv in Groundlings School. She then played a variety of roles in comedy. Her family was brought up within Kabul Afghanistan by a Hindu/Indian father Ghanshan Mahendru and Russian-speaking mom Olga. She moved to East Meadow New York, along with her father, when she turned 13 and stars with Matthew Rhys and Keri Russel in FX's The Americans. TV actress known for playing the former KGB agent Nina Sergeevna Krilova, on FX's The Americans. The actress also appeared in Fox's The Following and NBC's The Blacklist.
